Fritz Industries Opens New Technology Center in Houston’s Energy Corridor

Research and Development Facility Addresses Company Growth Plans, Puts Oil & Gas Company Closer to Customers

(Mesquite, TX) – Fritz Industries, Inc. celebrated the opening of the company’s new Houston Technology Center (HTC) on November 5. Founded in 1956, Fritz Industries is a manufacturing company which has grown into serving customers around the world in the oil & gas industry. The 13,000 square-foot Houston site, located at 19408 Park Row, will employ a staff of research scientists including skilled chemists and laboratory technicians in Houston’s Energy Corridor.

Prior to the HTC opening, Fritz conducted research and product development at its Mesquite Technology Center (MTC) to support customers in the energy industry. The MTC is now home to a Life Sciences R & D lab and a production scale-up Pilot Lab. In addition to its technology and manufacturing facilities at their Mesquite campus, the company also has a one million-square-foot manufacturing center in Greenville, Texas.

Debi Jordan, a member of the area’s Community College Petrochemical Initiative and executive director of Workforce and Community Development at Lee College, greeted guests at the grand opening event.“Fritz Industries is a welcomed addition to the Houston technology scene. It speaks volumes of the company that they are already actively seeking partnerships with education,” she said. “Lee College and many of our Houston area partner colleges are actively engaged with the oil and gas industry.  It makes sense that we work with Fritz Industries for them to connect with our students and for us to support their ongoing workforce needs.”

 Fritz Industries recently announced its license to offer a new product line previously custom manufactured for Baker Hughes Incorporated. The two products, FlowSure™ PI-400 and FlowSure™ SI-503, provide long-term paraffin and scale control. Fritz Industries’ FlowSure™ products are added to the proppant pack and placed deep into the formation, where they can inhibit deposition and reduce costly production problems.
