Kris Neill
President, Chief Executive Officer
In January 2026, Kris Neill stepped into the role of Chief Executive Officer, succeeding his friend and mentor, Dan Montgomery.
Since joining the company in 2010, Kris has developed a deep, hands-on understanding of the business and the industries it serves. Most recently serving as Director of Sales for the Oilfield Chemicals Division, he has been instrumental in building strong customer partnerships and driving consistent growth.
Prior to joining Fritz, he spent nine years in the Capital Markets and Investment Banking industry, holding senior sales roles including Vice President of Sales for a publicly traded investment bank.
He graduated from the McCoy College of Business at Texas State University with a degree in Marketing and Finance.
Michael Kovar
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Michael Kovar currently serves as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Fritz, Mr. Kovar was employed by Fossil, Inc. where he served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer among other management roles over 13-years. In this role, he was awarded the esteemed recognition of “Best CFO” in 2013 and 2014 by Institutional Investor a leading global finance publication.
Mr. Kovar earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Texas State University. He is a CPA and active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Kovar is also a proud board member of Patriot Paws and the Fossil Foundation.
James Pickell
Executive Vice President, Chief Operations Officer
James Pickell currently serves as Chief Operations Officer. He joined the Fritz family in 2006 as an Oilfield Account Manager based in Houston, TX. Shortly after taking over Oilfield Sales in 2010, he relocated to the Company’s headquarters in Mesquite, TX.
Mr. Pickell has over 30 years’ experience in both upstream and downstream oilfield operations and chemicals. Prior to joining Fritz, he held key positions for Nalco Chemical and Aqualon Company, as well as Phillips Petroleum—where he began his oil & gas career as a process engineer. Mr. Pickell graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
